§ 38-58. Contractors responsibilities.

  • The contractor shall be held responsible for all injury and damage to curbs, sidewalks, pipelines, utility poles and lines, and all other public and private property caused by his operation while carrying out his work, and all repair or replacement costs if and where necessary, shall be borne by him. The contractor, at his own expense, shall erect and maintain all necessary walkways, barricades, and warning signs to assure safety of the public in the work area.
