§ 32-121. Acquisition and use of property; appropriations; taxes.

  • The county shall be authorized and empowered by and through their county mayor, in conjunction with any municipality thereof, and in addition to all other authorities and powers delegated to it, to acquire, erect, construct, reconstruct, renovate, restore, repair and maintain sites, buildings, and statues, memorials, markers and monuments, and to supervise the operation, maintenance, preservation and control thereof, for public purposes, including but without being limited to uses as historical sites, historical buildings, statues, memorials, markers and monuments, or other similar sites, structures and objects; and to appropriate and contribute such amounts from the funds of the county for such purposes as they shall deem proper and in the best interest of the county; and to levy taxes therefor.
