§ 10-699. Salaries specified.
(a)
The boards of county commissioners of the counties of Tennessee having a population of 600,000 or more, according to the federal census of 1960 or any subsequent federal census, are is hereby authorized and empowered to appropriate and pay, and shall so appropriate and pay, out of the county treasury, to the district attorney general for the 30th judicial district, and to the duly authorized and appointed assistants, deputies, investigators and secretaries of such district attorney general, the following salaries and compensation, or such greater amounts set by resolution of the board of county commissioners:

(b)
The annual county salaries of the persons occupying the positions in the district attorney general's office as set forth in this section, and the county salaries of any persons occupying similar additional positions as may be created for the office of the district attorney general by the general assembly of the state, shall be in such amounts as shall be authorized by an appropriate resolution of the board of county commissioners.
