§ 10-455. Duties of sheriff; compensation of deputies; service of process.

  • (a)

    The county sheriff shall provide necessary deputies to handle the business of the general sessions court, who shall receive compensation as provided by law.

    (b)

    The county sheriff or any deputy sheriff or constable of the county shall serve legal processes, writs and papers issued by the court with the same authority as provided by law in the other inferior courts.
