§ 10-442. Jurisdiction, powers, and authority; contempt.
(a)
The jurisdiction, powers and authority of the court of general sessions shall be coextensive with the county and shall be the same as provided by law for courts of general sessions in civil and criminal cases, suits and actions.
(b)
The court shall have jurisdiction to punish for contempt of the court in accordance with state law.
